Be Present

October 24, 2017

Most of us are overly attached to our cell phones, or technology for that matter.  And, while many of us recognize that we have bad technology habits, many don’t make an active effort to change, even when their usage is affecting their relationship.

This isn’t anything new.  Back “in the day” instead of the cell phones, it used to be the newspaper, or television.

There is always something out there that is vying for our attention.

One of the best presents you can give your spouse is to be present.

Eye contact.

Pay attention.

Listen.

Most of us are reasonable people. We understand that technology is necessary in this day and age. But it can be frustrating when your spouse consistently chooses their cell phone or Xbox One X.

It leaves you feeling second to a chunk of metal and plastic.

G&C

#freebie -The worst kind of lonely is not when you are actually alone, it’s when you are right next to your spouse, but “nobody’s home”.
