Lean In, Not Out

October 12, 2017

When it gets hard in a relationship, our tendency is to protect ourselves, to retreat, and to “lean out”.

Leaning out when your spouse is trying to “reach out” creates distant and tension.

If instead you “lean in” to the uncomfortable feelings, to the unknown, and the vulnerability, and meet your spouse, you will actually strengthen your relationship through the tough times you face together.

G&C

#freebie – You can have control or you can have connection with your spouse, but you can’t have both.  Pursue connection. #leanin

This is a big one for me. I tend to lean away and I appreciate the reminder today to do the opposite. Love you TeSelles.
